Autism Initiatives UK in ScotlandWe have been providing direct support services in Scotland since 2004 and have developed our reputation as a flexible and innovative service provider, offering a range of high quality services. Autism Initiatives UK has established a branch of Head Office at Melville Crescent in Edinburgh as the base for managerial and administrative functions in Scotland. | Auchenhuive Croft Respite Centre – Aberdeenshire | |
Auchenhuive offers a wide range of short and medium term respite break services for up to 5 adults from throughout the UK. Located in 8 acres of grounds close to Oldmeldrum, we make the best use of gardens, outbuildings and pasturelands to offer an exciting range of activities for recreation and home-based skills. Off-site activities take advantage of the peaceful, rural setting and the easy access to the coast and the City of Aberdeen. |

Supported Living – Dubford, Aberdeen Our Supported Living Project in Bridge of Don offers an individualised service to 8 adults with autism, supported by a large staff team. This state of the art environment utilises a range of SMART technology to facilitate support to individuals in their own tenancies. |

Number 6 The One Stop Shop for adults with Asperger Syndrome and High Functioning Autism in Lothians. Commissioned by the Scottish Executive and based in central Edinburgh, the small team at “Number 6” provide a range of drop in, individual support and group activities. |

Supported Living – Slateford, Edinburgh Our Supported Living Project at Shandon Road in Edinburgh offers an individualised service to 5 adults with autism in their own tenancies. The property offers a relaxing and supportive environment and tenants are assisted in a wide range of in house and community based activities. |

Supported Living – Inverleith, Edinburgh Opened in May 2006, our Supported Living Project at Inverleith Row in Edinburgh will offer an in individualised service to 6 adults with autism. The service is located in an impressive property backing onto the Edinburgh Botanic Gardens. |

Inverleith Activity Centre - Edinburgh Our day services in Lothians are based from the Inverleith Activity Centre and a wide programme of opportunities are offered throughout the week including weekends. Lothian Community Outreach Service In response to the growing need for individual services across Lothian, we now provide a flexible range of packages from just a few hours a week to more intensive support. North High Street - Musselburgh A registered residential care service for 7 adults occupying 3 adjacent flats. Located conveniently for all amenities, the Musselburgh service has been established for a number of years and the experienced team provide an individualised autism specific service. Future developments Autism Initiatives UK is keen to develop its range of innovative and inclusive service for people with autism throughout Scotland. In particular we are developing a range of individualised support packages and exploring the need for further Supported Living, Day Opportunities and Transition/Assessment services. |
