Autism Initiatives - Dedicated Boxing Event
Service Manager, Shaun Pike, helped organise a team of boxers from Autism Initiatives and others to take part in a 'White Collar Boxing Event' to help support the new Minshull House Short Breaks Service. Alongside trainer Frankie Power and the team from Dedicated Boxing the team trained together, laughed together and got ready for the big night!
The event took place on 17th December in Fusion Liverpool, Fleet Street, and was a huge success.
Shaun says: "Just a big thank you to all the boxers who took part and all their family and friends for the support and donations throughout the training camp. Special thank you to the trainer, Frankie Power for all his hard work getting the camp fit enough and giving them the skills needed to put on such a great event. Congratulations to all the Autism Initiatives staff who took part in the event; Sam Bradshaw, Leanne Cunningham, Stacey Kelley, Joe Lawrence, Paul Walker (who won fighter of the night trophy) and Tony O'Hagan.
So far I think the event has raised around £2000 for Minshull House Short Breaks with some sponsorship money still to come in. Win, lose or draw on the night, everyone who took part is a winner in my eyes".
Huge thanks to all who took part, supported us and made the event such a success. All the boxers showed incredible devotion and the entire staff at Autism Initiatives are incredibly proud! Congratulations everyone!
