I am heard

Our service users are the centre of our services. We involve them and their families in all stages of a service from design and implementation, to establishing outcomes and evaluating progress.

Service Users Forum

We have a culture of listening to service users, and this extends to consultation on the service that is provided to them and involvement in the service, for example, involvement in staff recruitment.

The way that we listen to service users is governed by each person’s ability to communicate, that may involve listening in different ways. As an organisation we avoid tokenistic consultation which is not meaningful to the service user.

The Service Users Forum is a consultative committee whereby service users provide feedback on services provided by Autism Initiatives and review policy and procedure relating to the organisation.

The forum meets monthly and is open to all users of Autism Initiatives' services.
