Otherwise known as home away from home, the Bay has now been open since October and is rapidly becoming a haven for the students after a busy day at the Anchorage.
The Bay Respite house in located in the heart of Wicklow Town with easy access to all the local amenities that are available. The property was acquired early August 2013 and the move from the previous respite was completed on the first of September 2013.
The property is a four bedroomed detached bungalow that benefits from the privacy of being surrounded by a mature garden and a deck area that has a beautiful view of one of the local churches by day or night.
At present there are six lads using the respite house on a rota basis of three at a time and they also attend the Anchorage day service which they make their way to on their weekly stays. After college the lads that are stayingwill often stop at one of the cafés for a drink before returning to the house.
The lads have all chosen a favourite bedroom that they prefer to stay in but on occasions room swapping can occur when it takes their fancy.
Lots of choices are offered around how they would like to spend the afternoons and evenings.
